आप हनुमान जी को बस ऐसे सोचो कि 'भूत पिशाच निकट नहीं आवे, महावीर जब नाम सुनावे' — माने रास्ते में जा रहे हैं और भूतों से डर लगता है तो बीच-बीच में पाठ करते रहते हैं — तो ये दुरूपयोग कर लिया हनुमान का। आप समझे ही नहीं कि हनुमान किसके प्रतीक हैं। धर्म में सिर्फ प्रतीक होते हैं, तथ्य तो वहाँ होते ही नहीं। और उन प्रतीकों को पढ़ना पड़ता है, देखना पड़ता है कि इनका इशारा किधर को है। पश्चिम में जो कहते हैं कि भारतीय वानरों को पूजते हैं, 'द मंकी गॉड', उनको नहीं समझ आ रहा कि क्या दिखाया जा रहा है, क्योंकि वानर हम सब हैं शरीर से। पर वानर होते हुए भी कैसे राम की ओर बढ़ा जा सकता है, इसके प्रतीक हैं हनुमान। अब ये जाने बिना हनुमान भक्ति कर रहे हो तो क्या कर रहे हो? बस वही कि परीक्षा में पास करवा देना, नौकरी दिला देना, या और कामनाएँ। और सिर्फ़ वेदांत के ही आधार पर किसी भी कथा या दर्शन की व्याख्या की जा सकती है। वेदांत कुंजी है, उसी से सारे ताले खुलेंगे। वो कुंजी नहीं ली तो कोई द्वार नहीं खुलेगा तुम्हारे लिए। वेदांत अपनेआप में कुछ है नहीं, एक कुंजी भर है। उस कुंजी के साथ जिस धारा में प्रवेश करना है, कर लो।
